The « Dangerous Playground Theory » thinks kids actually need a little danger to survive adulthood. Who knew climbing, running fast, or wrestling with friends could somehow teach them to assess risk, manage fear, and develop confidence? Oh, oh, Shocking. Over-protecting children doesn’t make them superheroes—it just makes them anxious little geniuses at hiding from imaginary monsters. So yes, apparently the key isn’t eliminating risk entirely, but carefully letting them flirt with it—because heaven forbid we let a child learn anything without a grown-up breathing down their neck.
Emerging from two distinct yet strangely resonant contexts — Switzerland and Japan — the duo navigates cultural distance not as contrast, but as a field of subtle correspondences, where risk is understood, negotiated, and embodied in profoundly different ways.
Reona and Thomas’ encounter emerges from an obvious shared love of seeing music not as something to be fully controlled, sanitized, or domesticated, but as a living terrain where instability, friction, and unpredictability are necessary conditions for discovery. Their duo unfolds like a negotiated risk — a constant movement between trust and imbalance, precision and collapse.
Rather than avoiding uncertainty, the two musicians deliberately inhabit it, allowing tension, interruption, and accident to shape the music from within.

What results is not chaos, but a form of heightened attention. Every sound seems to test the limits of the other; every pause carries the possibility of rupture or transformation.
